“ Old school breakfast and lunch place. Many repeat customers. Food reasonable price and servings plentiful. Food is very tasty. Waits can be long since it is a local favorite. Weekends especially busy. ”
“ My Honda service advisor recommended this place when we asked about breakfast spots and called Lyft for us, which was very convenient. We were seated right away at a booth. We noticed a platter full of fruits and asked next table about it, they said it was a half platter, which we had thought was plenty. My friend said the place reminded her of a country kitchen dining room; comfortable like you're at your grandma's house. We browsed the menu and she had wanted the omelette without the eggs, so basically just plain vegetables and with Sourdough toasts. My friend wasn't too happy with all the butter on her toasts, as she doesn't put much butter (minus the 1 star), but everything else came out great!! I enjoyed my French toast. It was pretty thin, but had enough butter. And the maple syrup was already on the table so that was convenient. The ladies were very nice checking up on us often and refilling our coffee mugs which was a plus. We thought everything was good, but not fantastic. Thanks Leroy's restaurant team for the great service this morning. It kept us full past lunch hour, we actually skipped lunch. ”
“ We drove out from West LA this past weekend specifically for this diner and are all happy that we did so. Open since 1974 it's quite famous on the diner circuit and has served many people using Route 66 and now the 10 freeway over the decades. As you would guess, Le Roy's is a traditional diner, although I would classify it more as a local country diner. It's fairly small on the inside but very homey. They have many different seating options from booths to tables to counter seating. All the seating is indoors so if there is a line, be prepared to wait a bit to sit. They have a parking lot attached out back otherwise street parking is easy to find in this part of town. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered arrived very quickly. Pricing is also very fair it was about $110 for a party of four. For my first visit, I wanted to try a diner classic so I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and loved it. The meat was not overly fried and the portion sizes were very generous. The eggs were also cooked perfectly to my order and I really enjoyed the dish overall. It's the sort of place that is usually filled with locals so I would really classify it as a local hidden gem. I definitely plan to be back next time I'm in the area. ”
“ A traditional diner serving traditional breakfast and lunch favorites. I returned here after 25 years. The food hasn't changed and neither has some of the staff. Expect to hear loud exchanges between the kitchen and servers. The food comes out pretty fast once you are seated - line starts forming early. The biscuits and gravy got high marks as did the pancakes, Belgian waffle, and tots. The steak and eggs was the least favorite of the picks. Service was friendly and efficient. Free refills on coffee are a plus. ”
“ Very quaint spot for breakfast. prices are very reasonable plates are great size portions and options are quite a few. The parking lot was packed so we thought we were gonna have quite a wait but we got in and had to wait. Maybe a couple minutes and had a table the servers were quick and very attentive. We ordered our food and it was out in 5 to 10 minutes. Coffee was continued to be filled, and it had a real Christmas vibe in there during the time we were there, we will definitely be back to try more breakfast options. ”
“ Always good, always fast and always friendly service. It's an old school diner on Huntington Dr. (Route 66) and doesn't seem to have had any decoration upgrades since it opened 40+ years ago. There is outdoor dining there now, too. VERY popular on the weekends, so get there early or be prepared to wait. Everything we had this visit was good (coffee cake, Belgian waffle, bacon, eggs, etc.) *except* the grits. Granted, I'm Southern and very picky about grits being properly seasoned and cooked. These were neither. Way too soupy and no flavor at all. No worries, though. I took them home and finished cooking them until they were thicker, creamy and seasoned with s&p. We love this neighborhood gem and will be back soon. ”
“ First time and it was easy to find. They have a small parking lot and some street parking . It's a small diner with outdoor patio seating. They are only open for brunch. I wish they would be open longer because I'd love to come and eat this for dinner! The staff was friendly and our server was a young one. She asked if we were ready to order and when we said yes, she didnt have a notebook or paper to jot our order down so she grabbed a napkin from another table and wrote on that. I asked what kind of soft drinks they had and she said Pepsi products. I said I'll take a starry and she kept saying sprite. I just thought it was funny. I have food allergies and when I was looking at some of the pictures on Yelp, I notnoticed that the fruits were all mixed and touching each other. I asked our server if the fruits are prepared all mixed together like a fruit medley, her response was that all fruits are cut and placed in separate containers and they can put whatever fruit I'd like on my dish for the "fresh fruit" option. I thought that was amazing! First time I can ever eat any fresh fruit with my meal! Their Monte Cristo sandwich is a MUST order! I've never tasted anything like theirs! It's not too oily and their berry compote was delicious! Their tater tots are crispy and plentiful, should try that too! The Hobo sandwich was a cold sandwich that had a lot of deli meats. I forgot what my husband got, but it was a little dry. We felt it was missing some au jus in our opinion. The breakfast burrito was delicious and gigantic! That one didn't come with any sides, just some sour cream (which not a lot of places provide that for you, so I thought this was amazing!) Their outdoor patio (under the tent) is spaced out, cute set up. I didnt like their chairs though, too narrow for my big butt haha. They had another outoutdoor seating attached to their restaurant but we didnt sit there. There is a single gender-neutral bathroom outside. Their meals were the size of my hand! Worth the price and i will be returning again! ”
